Abstract

A gland clamp comprises a split presser ring 10 to be slid onto a valve spindle 7 and two spring plates 1, 1' that are interconnected and then fastened to the valve housing 9 by bolts 8 to press the presser ring 10 into contact with the gland packing to cure any leaks. <IMAGE>
