Abstract

A cooking pot has a base receptacle 1 and a lid 2 the lid having a double wall portion 3, 4, within which is situated an air circulating device in the form of a motor driven impeller 8 the motor 9 being mounted on the outside of the lid 2. In operation air is drawn through a grid 19 in the inner wall 4 of the lid and circulated around the walls of the receptacle and through apertures in spacer plates 11, 13 within the receptacle. The circulating device may be located in the top of the lid or in the side of the lid. The apparatus may be used with known cooking receptacles i.e. pots, pans and trays. <IMAGE>
