Abstract

Transversely spaced openings 14 and 16 are formed at opposite sides of the vehicle body centre by cutting away a complete transverse section of the vehicle roof and subsequently attaching the upright arms 204 and 206 of a generally H-shaped frame to forward and rearward portions of the roof defining the cut-away section. A pair of panel members are detachably supportable at opposite sides of the vehicle body centre to close the openings. This construction retains the strength of the original body, and the portions of the frame form drainage troughs and support sealing members which engage the detachable panels when in their closed position so as to maintain these panels in weather tight relationship with the vehicle roof. <IMAGE>
