Abstract

In a circular knitting machine, control profiles on a program drum (7) are provided by elements (42) of strip- like form having projecting butts (44), the elements (42) being removably mounted on the drum such that the butts form a plurality of annular control profiles, with each such profile comprising a plurality of butts (44) which are angularly spaced.
