Abstract

A printed circuit board is formed by bonding a decal 20 to a moulded substrate 10, e.g. of phenolic or epoxy material. The decal 20 comprises a circuit pattern of e.g. copper 24 printed on to a bonding film 22 and covered by a further film 30. The substrate 10 is moulded into the desired circuit board form with component mounting holes 26 or support structures moulded therein. Following moulding of the substrate, the decal 20 is inserted in the mould in registration with the board. The mould is closed thereby bonding the film, and thus the circuit pattern, to the substrate. <IMAGE>
