Abstract

Trenching tools are disclosed for underwater trenching operations. The tools have elongate tubular members 2, 31 which are provided with nozzles 4 from which water jets are directed at the bed material in which the trench is being cut. The jets displace bed material for cutting and/or keeping open the trench. <IMAGE>
