Abstract
A catalyst based on nickel for an electrochemical generator electrode enabling the electrochemical oxidation of the hydrogen is prepared by the electrolytic co-deposition of nickel crystallites and of at least one other metal e.g. copper dendrites capable of being deposited with a structure offering the nickel a large surface of deposition with regard to the amount of this metal having to be deposited. Preferably at least part of the other metal(s) is removed by dissolving e.g. in an alkaline solution of NH4OH (for copper).
