Abstract
The invention provides an analytical device consisting of a capillary of an inert material with an inner diameter of more than 1 mm, having a reagent or reagents adhering to its inner surface. Methods for preparing and using the device are described. There is also described a method for preparing yeast lactate dehydrogenate from fresh compressed baker's yeast, for use as one of the reagents. The device may be used for qualitative, semi-quantitative, and quantitative chemical and microbiological determinations. An example of its use is in immuno-assays.
