Abstract

A control valve and a multiple control system therefor for controlling a plurality of remotely positioned hydraulically actuated underwater devices. The slidably movable valve member 16 is acted on by first and second equal size pilot pistons 18 and 20 supplied with operating fluid through first and second pilot ports 22 and 24 respectively, for moving the valve member to either an open or closed position. Third and fourth unequal size pilot pistons 26 and 28 supplied with operating fluid through third and fourth pilot ports 30 and 32 respectively are also operative for moving the valve member to either an open or closed position. The control valve may be operated in an electro- hydraulic control mode by the use of electrically actuated valves controlling the supply of fluid to the first and second ports 22 and 24. in addition, the control valve can be operated in a hydraulic mode by hydraulically controlling the supply of fluid to the third and fourth pilot ports 30 and 32. <IMAGE>
