Abstract

An elastic warp-knitted fabric, in particular for corsetry, and an associated knitting process in which non-elastic threads (10') are knitted in a ground fabric and elastic threads (14) are laid-in in a pattern having unit sections as 16 with a length of at least three knitting rows and are displaced laterally between two or more wales.
