Abstract

A lock for controlling the latch of a vehicle boot lid incorporates a clutch mechanism for transmitting drive between an input element accessible at the outside of the boot and an output element engaged with an operating member of the latch. The clutch 20 can be set in an operative condition (Fig. 2) or an inoperative condition (Fig. 1) by rotation of a key-receiving barrel of the lock. <IMAGE>
