Abstract

A rear lamp assembly for a motor vehicle has an insulating hollow body (10), bulbholders (12, 18a, 18b) and spaced conductive elements (13-18), cut from a conductive sheet, extending between a location in the body (10) at which a supply connector is attached to the assembly in use and respective locations in the body (10) adjacent the bulbholders (12, 18a, 18b). At least one bulb contact blade (22) extends into each bulbholder and each blade (22) has a U-shaped blade portion (23) disposed externally of the bulbholder (12, 18a, 18b). Conductive blades (26) are integral with at least some of the conductive elements (13-18). Each blade (26) is in facial contact with internal faces of the respective U- shaped blade portion (23) ensuring good electrical connection. Each U- shaped blade portion (23) is preferably an interference fit in a respective support (25) integral with a base of the body (10). <IMAGE>
