Abstract
Vinyl halide polymers and copolymers of relatively low molecular weight and low melt viscosity are made by polymerization in the presence of a free - radical - generating polymerization initiator, using as a molecular weight regulating agent one or more saturated aliphatic aldehydes having 6 to 18 carbon atoms. The polymers are useful in moulding, extrusion and coating applications.
