Abstract

A water sprinkler for spreading water within a substantially rectangular area which is to be watered, comprises a chamber 9 having an inlet 2 for receiving water under a given pressure and an outlet 10 for discharging water from the chamber, the outlet having a generally rectangular exit orifice; and curved vanes 11 within the chamber for imparting to water received from the inlet a rotational movement about the axis B of the outlet. The vanes 11 may be replaced by tangential inlets or by a chamber and having a generally conical inner wall. <IMAGE>
