Abstract

A mixed-fluid pressure operated dual circuit vehicle braking system comprises a common pedal-operated hydraulic master cylinder 5 for operating first and second hydraulic to pneumatic pressure converters 11, 15 connected to respective pneumatic servo motors 9, 13 for actuating hydraulic master cylinders 8, 12 connected to hydraulic brakes on front and rear pairs of wheels respectively. A reaction from the braking pressure is transmitted by a pipe (20) from the outlet of the master cylinder (12) to a shouldered piston in the converter (15) and hence through the pipe (27) to the pedal. <IMAGE>
