Gas stoves; cooking- stoves; canopies and hoods; reflectors.-A portable incandescent gas fire, having radiants c arranged horizontally above a burner b, is provided at the rear with a ventilated reflector or insulator comprising louvers m of polished metal or fireclay attached at their upper corners to the side standards a by screws n the heads of which serve as distance pieces. The slats m are made readily detachable by the provision of keyhole slots engaging over the screws n. A sheet of material having ventilating openings may be used instead of the louvers m. The canopy e of the stove is provided with a sliding hit-andmiss grid p, c, on which a kettle or the like can be heated.
