Abstract

A coffin comprises a floor, a lid, and a side wall formed by at least one composite panel made up of a plurality of panel portions pivotally connected together by pivotal connections about which the composite panel is foldable. The pivotal connections are located at corners in the side wall. Moulded plastics braces may be attached to the panel portions adjacent the pivotal connections and may cooperate to fix the adjacent portions in required pivoted relative positions. <IMAGE>
