Abstract

A d.c. power transmission system of the kind comprising rectifier and inverter stations A, B, each having a current regulator 3 and a limit angle control device 8, 9, the current regulators being set with a current order with a certain margin DELTA I between the rectifier and inverter sides, which current order comprises a first (main current controlling) order 33 and a second order 21 for modulating the current order in dependence on an operation magnitude in an a.c. network 2 connected to a converter station, control signals being transmitted to at least one of the stations by a telecommunication link 22, 34 and further, in dependence on the limit angle control and said margin, one station determining the transmission voltage, whereas the remaining stations are individually current determining. In the event of drop out of the telecommunication link 22, 34, the station B which is connected to the a.c. network 2 which determines the second order is forced to become current determining by making another station A voltage controlling by reduction of its maximum voltage while at the same time the current order is established in this station as the sum of a certain margin DELTA I and a pre-planned current value. <IMAGE>
