Abstract

A cathode-ray tube 1 has a conductive layer 2 coated on the interior surface of at least the funnel portion 1f. The layer comprises a mixture of graphite, silicon carbide and a silicate such as an alkali silicate, the silicon carbide increasing the abrasion resistance of the coating. <IMAGE>
