Abstract

The invention relates to apparatus for use in plasmaphoresis. A plasmaphoresis member is provided for coupling a nozzle to the end of a tube 5. The member comprises a sleeve 1 which sealingly surrounds the end of the tube. A sealing cap 4 seals the end of the sleeve. The sealing cap has a breaking point 2 therein such that part of the sealing cap can be broken off to enable the tube and/or the sleeve to receive the nozzle. The plasmaphoresis member can be used in blood transport and transfusion apparatus and in other cases where an easily breakable sterile seal is required. <IMAGE>
