Abstract

A belt-knife splitting-machine having a belt knife 10 guided in a knife guide which extends across the working width, and a material feed gap arranged in front of the cutting edge of the knife and bounded by a lower roller 4 and an upper roller 5 which is adjustable for height, wherein the knife guide is formed on a flexible upper part 17, 18 which is connected by adjustable fastening means 34 to a lower part 28 which is resistant to bending, whereby the knife guide may be given a selected curvature. <IMAGE>
