Abstract

In a watertight watch case with a case body 1 for receiving the movement 2 and the glass or its mounting and with a case back 3 sealed to the underside of the body by a seal 9 placed between the back and the body, the body is provided with laterally projecting flanges 4 and fasteners, such as screws 8, are used to draw the back firmly against the body, the fasteners passing through the flanges and into elements 5 which also serve to secure a strap 6 to the watch case or form part of a watch strap and enable a smooth transition to take place between the strap and the watch case. As shown the strap has its end portion 6a,b passed around an element 5 and securely clamped against the flange 4. <IMAGE>
