Abstract

A cartridge 1 of photographic roll film, particularly 35mm film, has an arrangement for allowing mechanical sensing of at least one characteristic (e.g. film sensitivity) of the film, a mark 7 or 8 indicating the film characteristic located on an element 6 which is releasably attachable to the cartridge 1 in only a single specific position relative to the cartridge 1. <IMAGE>
