Abstract

In a hinge comprising fixed and movable hinge parts 1,7 play is eliminated by a slidable catch which comprises two slidable members 25 biased toward the knuckles 13, 14 of the respective hinge parts by at least one spring 32 interposed between the members 25. The ends 26f, 26m of the catch means cooperate with the outer surface of the corresponding knuckles 13, 14 so as to produce a retaining effect for given angular positions of the knuckles 13, 14 relative to the mount 18. <IMAGE>
