Abstract
A clamp for securing anodes in a ship's cathodic protection system comprises two rods 1 deformed into U-shape and welded together at 5 with one limb from each side by side so that the other limbs are spaced apart and point in the same direction. The weld, and adjacent parts of said one limbs, is drilled and tapped to receive a bolt 6. A member to which the clamp is to be attached is engaged on one side by the threaded end of the bolt and on the other side by the two other limbs. Across the latter may be welded at 9 a bar 8 cranked outwardly to form the core of an anode 10 for a cathodic protection system. Alternatively, a tube may be welded across the other limbs, to receive a projecting core from an anode. <IMAGE>
