Abstract

The upper ends of the pipes 27, 35 of a marine riser system are supported by termination means comprising one or two plates 25, 26 which is suspended by constant tension cables 55 from a floating structure e.g. a platform. The central riser pipe 27 is fixed to the plates 25, 26 and the satellite pipes 35 are supported thereon by individual hydraulic tension compensating means 45 so they can individually move relative to the termination means. <IMAGE>
