Abstract
A hanger comprises a disc member 31 which has a plurality of through holes 311, 312, 313 at the periphery thereof, a column member 32 which erects substantially at the center of the disc member 31, and a hook member 33 forming at the head of the column member 32. During the construction of the concrete reinforcement, the definite space between the steel bar and the mold can be secured by the hook member 33 of the hanger, the quality of the concrete construction can be enhanced. Being capable of utilizing small nails, the nailing of hanger will not damage the surface of the mold too much to be reused. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
Hanger
The present invention is related to a hanger,
particularly a hanger which can be used for fixing
the space between the steel bar and the mold
during construction of reinforcement.
A baseplate 11 of a conventional hanger as
shown in Fig. 1 has three respective corners
thereof, on which are three holes 111, 112 and 113 provided for nailing. A truncated body 12
having an axial inner threaded hole 121 is provided
substantially at the center of the baseplate 11.
While using of such hanger, the truncated head of
the hanger is abutted against the mold and three
long nails are hammered through the respective
hole into the mold and the hanger is fixed thereon.
After placing and consolidating as well as curing steps of the concrete, the mold is dismantied. At the finished reinforced concrete slab is a threaded hole left for fixing pipe clip, electrical appliance holder etc. by screwing.
In another conventional hanger, as shown in
Fig. 2, a column 21 with two earlobe portion is provided substantially at the center of a baseplate 21 5. An axial through hole 211 passes through the column 21 for receiving a plug body 22. While using such hanger, the baseplate 215 is abutted against the mold and the hanger are fixed by nailing through two respective holes 214 and 213 into the mold. As the mold is dismantled, the reinforced concrete slab can likewise be left a threaded hole 221.
While fixing the aforementioned hangers with the mold, larger size of nail must be used and thus the mold, especially those with smooth surface, will be seriously damaged so that the use life of the mold is shortened.
In addition, the surface of the concrete slab is coarse and higher expenditure for more additional pavement is required. Moreover, the former one has its truncated head facing toward the mold and most portion of the nail is exposed outside.
Therefore, the holding strength thereof is not so strong enough to prevent the hanger from shifting under the pressure of concrete during concrete placing.
In accordance with the present invention, a hanger comprises, a disc member which has a plurality of through holes at the peripheral portion thereof;
a column member which is vertically provided at the substantial center of the disc member; and
a hook member provided at the free end of the column member, whereby as the underside of the disc member abuts against a mold and the hook member hooks a steel bar during the construction of concrete, a definite space therebetween can be secured.
In accordance with the present invention, the column member can further possess an axial internal threaded hole which extends through the disc member for leaving an open threaded hole in the concrete slab.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a hanger acting also as a steel bar fixer to secure a sufficient thickness of concrete layer covering the steel bar. It is another object of the present invention to provide a hanger, which can be nailed into the mold fixedly with merely small sized nail so as not to damage the mold badly to shorten the life of the board.
These and other objects will be apparent by illustrating a preferred embodiment with reference to the following drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a prior art of the hanger;
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of another prior art of the hanger;
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of a hanger according to the present invention;
Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a protective plug suitable for using in hanger of Fig. 3; and
Fig. 5 is a schematic view illustrating a hanger according to the present invention utilized in construction of reinforced concrete, wherein A is an illustration of ceiling construction, while B is an illustration of wall construction.
In accordance with the present invention, a hanger, as shown in Fig. 3 has a disc member 31.
At the peripheral portion of the disc member 31 are three equally distributed through holes 31 1, 312, 313. At substantial center of the upper side of the disc member 31 is a column member 32 erected. At the top end of the column member 32 is a hook member 33 provided. At the base part of the hook member is a recess 331 formed. In addition, from the center of the underside of the disc member upward, an axial inner threaded hole 34 extends into the column member 32.
Surrounding the mouth of the inner threaded hole 34, at the center portion of the disc member 31 is an annular recess 341 provided for adapting the head of a protective plug as shown in Fig. 4 which can temporarily plug the inner threaded hole 34 to avoid penetrating the concrete during the placing and consolidating of the concrete.
The depth of the annular recess 341 is equal or slightly larger than the thickness d of the protective plug and the outer diameter of the annular recess 341 is equal and slightly larger than the diameter I of the head of the protective plug. While using the hanger 3 in construction of reinforced concrete ceiling and wall, the disc member 31 is abutted against the mold 51 and is fixed thereon by nailing through the hole 3t 1, 312, 313 with the small nails. Aside from it, by hooking the steel bar 52 with the hook member 33, a sufficient space between the steel bar 52 and the mold 51 can be fully secured. 8ecause of sufficient thick layer of concrete covering the steel bar, the good quality of the reinforcement can be achieved without further pavement.
After dismantling of mold and taking the protective plug off, the ceiling or the wall is left with an inner threaded hole 34 for screwing and fixing the pipe clip, electric appliance holder etc.
It is apparent from the illustration of Fig. 3 and
Fig. 5, a moderate sized nail is sufficient to nail the rather thin disc member into the mold and the hanger will be able to stand still under the pressure of concrete during placing and consolidating the concrete.
With the invention thus explained, it is apparent that any improvements and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. It is intended that the scope of the present invention is defined merely by the appended claims.
