Abstract

Printing members having a print surface of a composition comprising polymeric material are modified by including graphite, PTFE or molybdenum sulphide in the composition. The inclusion of these materials, particularly in laser-engravable intaglio printing plates, increases wear resistance of the surface and reduces damage to polishing tools providing non-printing characteristics where required.
