Abstract

207,123. Collins, G. H. April 26, 1923. Fire-bars.-A fire-bar 1 for boiler furnaces, &c., is provided with a flat upper surface and a like number of vertical ribs 3 on each side extending the full depth of the bar forming windage slots 2, those on one side being staggered in relation to those on the other side. Each side of the bar is tapered from 'the top towards the bottom, as shown, the tapering commencing a short distance below the top face so that short vertical sides 4 are formed. The slots 2 are wider at the bottom 5 than at 'the top 6, and each end of the bar is cut away to form similar shoulders 7 so that it may be reversed.
