Folding paper.-A folding- machine for folding paper sheets along a number of parallel or transverse lines comprises a plurality of folding tables each having feed rollers and a folding device, and each rotatable about a vertical axis and adapted to be fixed in one of the number of operative positions. The arrangement shown comprises five folders supported one above another in staggered relationship on a framework a. Each folder, consisting of two pairs of folding-rollers c, d and a co-operating blade b carried by oscillating arms e, is supported on a table f secured to a member g rotatable on a fixed member h, balls k being interposed between the members g, h. Feed-rollers l are provided along the sides of the table j, and are adapted to be driven in whichever of the operative positions the tables are fixed by bevel pinions b<4> on a pair of horizontal shafts b', b<2> receiving motion from upright shafts a<2>, a<3> rotated from a main shaft a'. The osnillating arms e are actuated by a cam o on the shaft of a worm wheel q driven by a worm p on a feed-roller shaft. The tables f are also provided with inclined rollers m suitably driven from the feed roller shafts to position the sheets against adjustable gauges. The sheets may be transferred to the successive folders by shoots.
