Abstract

206,311. Walker, J. D. G. Sept. 22, 1922. Golf, cricket, &c. practising appliances. - Sighting appliances for personal wear when playing golf, cricket, or other ball games, to enable the player to determine whether any undesired movement of the head takes place, consist of parallel elongated, vertical or horizontal members mounted in eye-frames or of opaque members secured before the eyes to move in unison with the head. In one form the vertical or horizontal sides of rectangular-shaped eye-frames 3 constitute sights to check turning movements of the head. In another form a pair of spectacle frames 5 open at the upper portions are fitted with plain glasses 6 upon the upper edges of which are clipped sights 7. These sights 7 may be adjusted horizontally across the field of view. In a modification, the sight is supported on an adjustable continuation of the side-wire of the spectacle frame, or may be fitted on a bar extending between two such continuations. The side-wires 16 are of flexible material to enable the frames to be adjusted at various distances from the eyes.
