Abstract

206,206. Stordeur, F. M. July 27, 1922. Syringes. - Relates to syringes of the kind used for the injection of vaccines and of the type wherein a laterally projecting handle on the barrel carries a pivoted lever having a pawl-andratchet connection with the piston, which may be moved a predetermined distance to inject a given dose on the depression of the lever which is then returned to its former position by means of a spring. According to the invention, the lever d carries a pawl 10 engaging teeth 6 cut on the piston-rod b, the preferred constriction employing circular teeth as shown in Fig. 1. A spring 11 in the handle c effects the return of the lever to a position governed by the stop 16 thus regulating the dose. Modifications of the handle and stop are described.
