Abstract

205,812. Ness, H. E. van. Oct. 7, 1922, [Convention date]. Applying liquids to parts only of materials.-A device for injecting dye-liquid into a mass of textile material consists of an elongated nozzle 25 for insertion into the material 10 and provided with one or more longitudinal grooves 26 by means of which the injected liquid is distributed throughout the length of the nozzle. The needle or nozzle 25 is held to a piston rod 17 by means of a screwed collar 19, the end 20 of which is flattened so that when pressed against the material, escape of liquid is prevented. The piston rod 17 is hollow and is connected to a piston 16 working in a cylinder 15 containing the dye-liquid and constituting the body of the syringe. Specification 205,057 is referred to.
