High-frequency machines; motors, controlling; motor-generators.-The speed of a high-frequency alternator driven by a continuous-current electric motor is automatically regulated by inserting in the motor field circuit a resistance such as a boron or tungsten filament subjected to the influence of the high-frequency current. For use with alternating-current motors the filament controls the saturation of an inductance device in the motor circuit.
