Abstract
205,074. Verzinkerei Zug Akt.-Ges. Oct. 5, 1922, [Convention date]. Tinning and coating by dipping.-A centrifugal machine for removing surplus coating metal from metal articles that have been coated with zinc. lead, or tin by immersion, comprises a perforated container 19 which receives the articles to be immersed, and which is adapted to be removed from the bath and rotated at a high speed by an electric motor 1 fitted with a speed governor 4 and switch apparatus 5 coupled to a brake 6. The container 19, which is lifted by a removable handle 20, has two lugs 21 engaging one of the arms 16 of a basket 13 fixed on the vertical shaft 12 of the motor 1. A protective hood 7 mounted on the motor casing 2 is balanced by a counterweight 11 suspended by a rope 10. Fig. 5 shows a modified form of container 25 for receiving such articles as long bolts 26, a conical member 22 secured to the shaft 12 serving as the transmission member. The container is fitted with a handle 27.
