Abstract

192,803. Bennett, R. M. Nov. 14, 1921. Hay-loaders.-A haycocking-machine comprises an elevator and a hay-mould carrier mounted upon separate bogies and connected by an articulated or pivoted joint so that they may be detached from one another for separate use. The elevator 5 is provided with side-rakes 13 driven through gearing and universal joints from the wheels 3<a> and is connected to the hay-mould carrier 1 by a turntable 4 on the elevator and a bolt 2. The rick having been formed in the mould 15 the latter is run out to the rear end of rails 16 by means of rollers 15<a> on the mould and ropes 22 on each side passing round pulleys to a winding drum on the shaft 21, and the mould is inverted to deposit the rick. The mould is returned to normal position by arranging the ropes as shown by dotted lines 23.
