9166. Thorp, C. J. June 22. Teeth, artificial.-A tooth crown or shell 4 is formed with an outer face 1 of gold and an inner lining 2 of silver. The crowns are stamped from a compound sheet produced by melting granular or bar silver on to a bar of gold by means of a torch, and then cooling and finally rolling the combined ingot to the required thinness. The use of platinum in connexion with gold tooth crowns is also referred to.
