Abstract

5038. Hess, H. W. Feb. 26. Diaphragms for talking-machines are formed with a series of rows of indentations 3 which increase in diameter approximately in proportion to the perimeter of the circle upon which they are placed. They are preferably arranged in lines forming intersecting logarithmic spirals as shown. A small area in the centre and a margin for clamping purposes are left plain. Three such diaphragms separated by thin washers may be employed.
