1937. Alexandre, L. Jan. 24. Washes and distempers.-A composition which may be applied to porous surfaces to prepare them for the application of oil paints &c., or which may be mixed with pigments and used as a paint, consists of sulphate of iron, copper, or zinc, sulphate of aluminium, dextrin, barium sulphate, and china clay.
