Abstract
22,813. Benson, R. S., and Head, Wrightson, & Co. Oct. 16. Crank linkages. - A trough for washing granular or like materials is reciprocated with an approximately uniform acceleration during the greater part of one stroke and a corresponding uniform retardation during the greater part of the other stroke. Mechanism for imparting such a reciprocation comprises eccentric driving and propulsion shafts w, w<1> coupled by a drag link x connected to cranks on the shafts and a rod x<1> coupling a crank on the propulsion shaft with a slide x<2> on the trough. Specifications 21,253/09 and 24,269/10, [both in Class 82(ii), Washing granular &c.], are referred to.
