Abstract

7938. Atkinson, H. A., Zimmerman, A. K., and Pound, 0. E. April 1. Bedsteads fitted with folding cots.-Relates to a cot adapted to be attached to a bed and to be slid thereunder when not required for use. The cot has a folding side 22, and folding ends 23, 24, Fig. 6, the ends having guide-pieces 28 adapted to receive the removable side 29. The frame 16 of the cot is provided with bars 19, which pass through loops 7 on brackets 5 secured to the side bar of the bedstead by screw clamping-means 11, 12, Fig. 1. The loops 7 have rollers 10 mounted thereon to facilitate movement. Adapter-piecea 30 are mounted on the ends of the cot to receive the pivots of a swinging cradle, or the loops of a hammock.
