Abstract

7860. British Thomson-Houston Co., [General Electric Co.]. March 31. Resistances.-In an electric heater, a number of coils 13 fixed at their ends to metal bars 14,15 and connected in parallel, are supported by intermediate transverse metal bars 16, which join the coils at points of equal potential; two or more sets of coils may be connected in series. The bars are connected to supports 18 bolted into a plate, and also to end supports 17 riveted to the plate. Terminals 22 are mounted on the casing.
