Abstract
16,196. Dering, H. W. July 30. Hollow-ware with transverse partitions; saucepans; jrying-pans.-A partitioned cooking-vessel a, such as a saucepan, stewpan, frying-pan, &c. has its bottom formed concave or with suitable depressions or with radial, circular, or other corrugations. A vertical tube or flue may pass from the bottom through the utensil. The lid e is formed with a covered opening f which may be brought over either of the compartments. Vent, holes with covers may also be fitted to the lid. One or more of the compartments may be provided with a removable steamer, strainer, colander, or lining c or with a tap, and, if desired, an external heating-jacket may be used. In the case of a frying-pan, one of the compartments may be used for boiling or poaching eggs.
