Abstract

14,569. Atkinson, F. F. July 9. Lacing-fastenings; buckles.-A boot lace is secured by each of its ends being passed through diagonally opposite slots E in a box-like casing which is provided with a hinged lid carrying a sharp spike S, which, when the lid is closed down, passes through the crossed laces and is received in a small hole D in the centre of the casing. The lid is secured to the casing by passing a loop C attached to it over a pin P on the casing.
