Abstract

104. EscarÚ, C. M., EscarÚ, P. F., and Damey, C. Jan. 2. Incandescent lamps.-An imitation candle has a lamp screwed into a holder consisting of a metal lining c in an insulating- piece b, which is held in a metal tube a by a double spring plunger, Fig. 5. This plunger is situated in a transverse hole d in the insulator b and engages two holes in the tube a. The insulator b carries a central contact e, or a central spring plunger ; this and the lining c are connected directly to supply wires, or to a bayonet or screw cap at the lower end of the tube a. An opal tube o is held up against the lamp by a flange h screwed on the tube a. In the Provisional Specification, it is stated that the insulator b may be screwed into the tube a, or may be fixed by screws.
