Abstract
7203. Meybauer, G. March 26. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Handle-bars.- The stem e, slotted at f to work upon a cross-pin b, rests upon a spring c within the steering- fork stem a of the bicycle, and is connected to the fork stem by a sleeve i, an internal lug h of which, co-operating with a slot g, forms a bayonet-joint. The sleeve rests u p o n a collar k upon the stem e, the lug h being passed through the interruption l. To mount the handlebars, the stem is pressed into the fork stem and the sleeve turned to its fastened position. The end portion of the slot g is enlarged to allow of longitudinal motion of the handle-bar stem under the action of the spring.
