The end of the stencil sheet a, that is to be attached to the studs or the transverse bar carried by the endless bands of the machine, is strengthened by a strip b of strong paper or other material folded on itself and cemented to the opposite sides of the sheet a. Slots c, preferably of keyhole form, are then punched out for engaging the studs. The strip b may be on one side only of the sheet.
