Abstract
190,102. Fustier, P., and Soc. Anon. J. Bocuze et Cie. March 21, 1922. Rolling.-A drive for the rolls of rolling mills comprises a curved worm a directly coupled to an electric motor band engaging worm wheels c, c' on shafts d, d<1> which through couplings e may drive simultaneously two sets of rolls. The motor shaft carries a fly-wheel i and the gearing is enclosed in a casing carried on a base f. In a modification, Fig. 4, applicable to three-roll mills, a second arm a' engages both the worm wheel c and another worm wheel c<2>, the worm shafts being connected by gears k, m.
