Two-stroke-cycle engines; frames.-In engines of the kind described in Specification 173,145 wherein a cylinder reciprocates over one or more fixed combustion heads, one of the columns 10, 11, which support the head or heads is used as a receiver for compressed air, this being delivered to the cylinder through one or two manifolds 15, 16, which telescope into glands 17, 18 in the column.
