Abstract

197,806. Mansill, G. A., and Booth, C. T. April 5, 1922. Cistern supply valves; casings; making, processes for.-The casing of a ball float valve is substantially cylindrical, and is produced by a simple hot-pressing operation from a hollow cylindrical blank. The cylindrical blank a, Fig. 3, is subjected to a hot-pressing operation by discs which are forced in at both ends producing a flange c and projecting valve seat d, Fig. 2. The cylindrical plug valve p carries a washer q, and is operated by the curved end s of the float lever n. An opening k is provided for the escape of liquid, and transverse holes are formed for the pivot m of the lever. A slot r is provided in the valve plug to receive the end of the lever.
